Secret Garden Country House wedding inspiration

Findon Place is the perfect setting for a country house wedding or a marquee wedding in West Sussex. It is a stunning period manor house from the Georgian era, set in the south downs countryside, the perfect hidden gem for your wedding celebration. Findon Place has an air of grandeur with perfect period proportions and the elegant gardens offering a tranquil location that your guests will never forget. You can celebrate your wedding amidst the natural beauty of the garden or step back in time in the house to the golden era of country house weekends.

There are so many possibilities for floral designs at Findon Place that will give your country house wedding the perfect vibe. Here I would love to share with you some of my favourite ideas for your wedding flowers at this beautiful venue.

Making an entrance

Its always nice to welcome your wedding guests with a beautiful display of flowers at the entrance. Here I have used clusters of urns, one on a plinth and the other on the floor, to give a variation in height and a touch of drama to the beginning of the proceedings. Setting the scene for the celebrations ahead with a fabulous display of seasonal blooms.

A romantic ceremony

Bringing the outside in, create that secret garden feel in the grandeur of the Findon Place ballroom with a beautiful floral arch and meadow aisle.

Wedding breakfast florals

For this wedding set up I took inspiration from a classical English country garden herbaceous border. I created a continuous array of flowers along the length of the table, this was interspersed with small ceramic bud vases filled with small stems of flowers. I used delphinium, stocks, roses, peonies, chamomile to name a few, each flower has its own character, shape and colour to bring the whole arrangement to life.
